Everything on the Gulf coast of Texas, south of Houston reminds me of either of Florida, or a really developed Caribbean country.
But made it to Corpus Christi’s North Beach as dusk was falling. Apparently the spring breakers haven’t made it to Corpus Christi yet. It might be a little early in the season. And I’m a lot too old to blend in.
Nevertheless, there are other beaches such as Mustang Island, which has camping hookups for $20/night.
North Beach has the restaurants, and has a remarkable backdrop of the USS Lexington in the background. It is separated from the rest of Corpus Christi, by the bridge you see in the backgound.
Didn’t stay here long enough to see, if there were any cafe or malls to hang out in.
